Current situation:

Many people are not sure where to start with posting their analysis and opinions using LinkedIn. This could be broken down into:
- a reluctance or nervousness around posting on the social media from feelings of pressure
- lack of time and resources to feel ready to share on the platform*
- What doesn’t work as well as it could do?
Infrequent engagement on LinkedIn apart from the Thought Leadership team and some other analysts. This won’t grow the presence of out insights on the platform with non regular posts etc.
- *What are the bugbears that you often hear people talking about?
- They don’t know how to write/what to say
- They don’t have any support in that area to help setup their profiles with tips and tricks
- They don’t know where any of the resources are to post
- They don’t want to sound silly or unprofessional on LinkedIn
- It takes too much time out of their day
- What am I able to post on LinkedIn from my NIQ work?
- What else could I post other than pieces of NIQ work? Comment opinions on news articles through LinkedIn eg. on data presented by someone else (add your own insight to it), Share your opinion on something current eg. new product launch, current seasonal trend you are seeing in your category, asking a question to others in your network, general life update with work or personal if you are comfortable*
- What could be improved to save time or cost or improve the quality of operations?
A landing page for tips and tricks on how to post and ideas of what they can post with prompts.
A couple short session to get people involved and excited about posting on the platform & an opportunity to ask questions and get advice.

- It will aid NIQ’s emphasis on self development as being able to use LinkedIn effectively and to share your own ideas and thoughts is a great skill to have and can build an employee’s network outside of the company too*

The current situation is not negatively impacting the company but increasing the online presence of our insights is an opportunity to improve the quality of service perceived overall & increase our visibility to new clients too

One of NIQ’s 3 values is Passion. This project will showcase NIQ’s talented employees’ passion through sharing their thoughts with the world.
Linked to NIQ’s objectives, the company wishes to us to be the first person a client will go to for trusted advice and insights - by building a connection between employees and clients employees, NIQ will become that go to person. This is as clients will begin to trust our personal opinions on the current category performance through seeing our wider interaction with the category on LinkedIn - which links into how you can shape what you post as you should post on anything that you or a client might find intriguing as this will help build up that relationship.

A LinkedIn ‘Masterclass’ to get people involved in posting and using LinkedIn related to work
- What will it involve
It will involve a short sessions where we will go over some basics and more interesting elements to LinkedIn and the ways that it can benefit both you personally and your relationships with clients - Quartelry Business meeting

It will have a planning process involving numerous people to give their input into what ideas to include, will include a period of creating prompt sheets and setting up a site page for resources and links to be placed on

Overall, I aim to achieve an increase in engagement from NIQ employees on LinkedIn

To do this, the project needs to provide some preparation to get people started using LinkedIn more frequently & accessible for people who haven’t used LinkedIn at all & others who are somewhat comfortable with it
